Measures taken to ensure compliant processing

Need more details on the measures in place?

  • We carried out a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) and sent it to the CNIL (the French data protection authority) for its opinion, as required by Article 35 of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR").
  • Users give explicit consent to biometric processing for identification purposes when they sign up.
  • User consent is limited to the strict minimum in both scope and duration. A user can only consent to biometric processing for one specific event.
  • Users have full control over the personal data collected, stored and managed with Memento. They can withdraw their consent and delete all of their personal data at any time.
  • All data collected and processed by Memento is encrypted both in transit and at rest, and stored in Belgium (EU).
  • We have a customizable data retention policy, so we can meet the requirements and standards of the large companies and institutions we work with.
